MediaNet AV is seeking a driven and personable Sales Representative to join our growing team in Ohio. This individual will play a key role in expanding our presence across NorthEast Ohio, Western PA and Columbus markets while supporting continued growth from our Stow headquarters. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with strong sales acumen, capable of developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving new business.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at connecting with people, enjoys developing long-term relationships, and is motivated by results. Technical knowledge of audio, video, and lighting systems is a preferred, but not required — we’ll provide training to help the right person succeed.
Develop and maintain client relationships throughout Ohio, with a focus on the Cleveland, Akron, Canton and Columbus areas, potentially expanding to the Pittsburgh/Western PA area.
Conduct site visits and surveys to understand client needs and gather project details.
Manage all customer-facing aspects of the sales process, from initial contact through closing and assist in project follow up.
Find and participate in networking events, trade associations, and business development activities to generate new leads.
Collaborate with internal design and project management teams to ensure smooth handoff of sold projects.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the Columbus market, aligning with company expansion goals.
Represent MediaNet AV with professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.
3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development (preferably in technology, construction, or related industries).
Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage confidently with clients, architects, and business leaders as well as team members.
Demonstrated experience in building long-term client relationships and maintaining a professional network.
Comfortable with consultative selling — listening to customer needs and offering tailored solutions.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset and strong work ethic.
Willingness to travel regularly between Stow and Columbus, with occasional overnights as needed.
Familiarity with audio, video, and lighting systems is preferred but not required — training provided.
Proficiency with CRM and Project Management tools (e.g., Monday.com, D-tools or similar) and Google suite.
Experience selling B2B technology solutions, construction-related services, or commercial systems integration.
Knowledge of bid and proposal processes, including RFP response development.
Familiarity with architectural, engineering, or contractor relationships in Ohio’s commercial market.
Active involvement in industry associations or local networking groups (e.g., BOMA, IFMA, IAVM).
Strong presentation and negotiation skills with a record of exceeding sales targets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Local connections within the construction industry or commercial building community (architects, contractors, developers, engineering firms) is a significant plus.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of profit margins, cost structures, and how to price quality deliverables responsibly.
Client Value Assessment: Ability to identify which customers or opportunities merit time and investment, and which do not, to maintain a strong, profitable pipeline.
