Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Augusta, GA
Shift : 8 Hours Night shift
Pay rate: $28/hr - $30/hr
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks of contract with the possible extension)

Position Summary: MedCadre is seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Sterile Processing Technician to join a healthcare facility in Augusta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and support efficient surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, according to established procedures.
- Perform instrument inspections to ensure proper function, cleanliness, and readiness for use.
- Prepare instrument trays and surgical sets according to facility protocols and procedure requirements.
- Monitor and document sterilization cycles, biological indicators, chemical indicators, and other quality control measures as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment testing, and instrument tracking.
Requirements:
- Active SPT license.
- 3 Year SPT experience is required
- CBSPD certification Required.
- IAHCSMM/HSPA certification preferred.
- Skill Checklist is required
- COVID card (Medical/Religious exemptions are accepted)
