MSD is looking for a Dispatcher to join our team!
The Dispatcher plays a critical role in keeping our Service Department running smoothly by ensuring technicians are dispatched to client sites quickly, efficiently, and with the right priorities in place. This position reviews and prioritizes daily service requests, assigns technicians based on workload and client needs, and maintains accurate, up-to-date work orders in the system. You’ll monitor preventive maintenance schedules, communicate regularly with both clients and service personnel, and provide friendly, solutions-driven support that reinforces our commitment to 100% client satisfaction. Operationally, you’ll manage on-call personnel lists, route invoices to accounting, and verify accuracy and completion of all work orders. You’ll also serve as an essential link between clients, technicians, and management—escalating concerns when needed, supporting safe work practices, and helping ensure efficient operations across the department. Success in this role requires strong organizational planning, exceptional interpersonal communication, flexibility in a fast-moving environment, creative problem-solving, a client-first mindset, and the self-management skills to juggle shifting priorities while maintaining consistently high performance.
The Dispatcher is the central hub of the Service Department, ensuring technicians are assigned quickly and accurately while maintaining up-to-date work orders and delivering a seamless, customer-focused experience. This role keeps operations running smoothly by prioritizing service calls, coordinating preventive maintenance, and fostering clear communication between clients, technicians, and management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar and capable computer operations, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Able to clearly communicate in written and verbal English
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Valid, unencumbered US Driver’s license
Job Duties:
- Review and prioritize incoming service call requests to assign technicians efficiently.
- Update and maintain accurate work orders in the system.
- Monitor completion of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Communicate with clients, technicians, and management to ensure timely service and address concerns.
- Maintain on-call personnel lists and forward invoices to accounting.
- Support safe work practices and contribute to smooth, effective department operations.
