The Talent & Benefits Coordinator is an on-site HR professional responsible for supporting organizational effectiveness through a strong focus on recruitment, HR systems (Workday), and employee benefits administration. This role partners with leadership and hiring managers to drive talent acquisition strategies, ensure efficient HR processes, and deliver a positive employee experience from hire through ongoing employment.
The Coordinator plays a key role in executing human capital initiatives that support workforce growth, operational efficiency, and employee engagement, while ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
- Manage and coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including requisition creation, candidate sourcing, screening, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop staffing plans and recruitment strategies aligned with business needs.
- Maintain and update job descriptions to reflect current roles and requirements.
- Oversee recruitment systems and sources, including job boards, agencies, and internal platforms.
- Support offer development and ensure consistent hiring practices across all roles.
Workday & HR Systems
- MUST HAVE! - BE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT -WORKDAY
- Serve as a primary resource for Workday processes, including recruiting, onboarding, and payroll transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of HR data entry, requisitions, and employee records within Workday.
- Assist with system maintenance, process improvements, and user support for HR technology.
- Monitor data integrity and generate reports to support HR and business decision-making.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires and internal promotions, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
- Facilitate pre-employment and onboarding activities, including documentation, system setup, and employee orientation.
- Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and employment requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and record maintenance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Coordinate and support open enrollment, including communication and education efforts.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to benefits (e.g., FMLA, ERISA).
- Liaise with vendors, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective benefits delivery.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Maintain employee records and ensure completion of required documentation, including I-9 verification.
- Support payroll processes through accurate HR transactions and coordination with finance.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal policies.
- Handle employment verifications and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting, benefits, and HRIS systems (Workday Must).
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration and employee support.
- Strong proficiency in Workday as a MUST!
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
