Essential Job Functions
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administer COBRA.
- Track discrepancies and resolve billing issues with benefit carriers
- Prepare and maintain biweekly employee reports, new-hire, and miscellaneous reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees. Complete annual benefits reporting requirements.
- Administer voluntary benefit deductions, including Nationwide pet insurance, Norton LifeLock identity protection, and Empower retirement plan contributions—ensuring timely and accurate updates for all changes and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and related regulations
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits administration.
- Strong customer-centric and communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookups, XLookups, etc.)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with data entry, record-keeping, routine audits, and file management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- May require lifting and carrying light loads, 10 or more pounds (e.g., boxes, small equipment, materials) and stooping or kneeling (e.g., filing documents in lower file drawers, picking up items from the floor, or removing and replacing items on lower shelving).
- Strong manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers, etc.).
- Activities include extended periods of sitting, movement, and extensive work at a computer and phone.
- In-office presence is required, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
