Role Overview: A leadership role responsible for managing daily laboratory operations, staff, and budgets while ensuring the quality and integrity of all laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets.
- Directs daily operations of the laboratory department.
- Leads, hires, disciplines, and manages laboratory staff.
- Oversees laboratory technical development, implementation, and integration within areas of technical expertise, including instrument acquisition, logistical support, and laboratory information systems (LIS) integration.
- Ensures quality of testing across all areas of the laboratory.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related Health Science specialty; must meet CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in an acute care facility.
- Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent).
- Valid state licensure, as required by applicable state law.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Allied Health, Health Administration, or Business.
- Prior Lab Director experience.
- ASCP or NCA registration strongly preferred.
