Job Summary: We are seeking three dedicated Operations Leaders for our Vandergrift, PA facility. This is a primarily Monday through Friday daylight position, though flexibility is required to cover off-shifts and weekends. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of safety, quality, productivity, and cost control within their assigned work areas. Premium pay is available for shift coverage and overtime. Yearly Base Salary is $75,000 to $90,000
Essential Functions:
- Supervise hourly personnel and provide technical assistance to ensure smooth unit operations.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety and housekeeping controls throughout the facility.
- Facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement projects to reduce overall plant cycle times.
- Implement mission-critical maintenance to increase equipment reliability and reduce quality costs associated with line stops.
- Coordinate mill activities by working closely with both internal and external support personnel.
- Modify electrical systems as needed to meet reliability and production requirements.
- Ensure operations equipment is available and functioning correctly to meet on-time delivery and quality assurance goals.
- Create and manage cross-training opportunities to enhance team knowledge of coil finishing processes.
- Learn and automate the intricacies of the Annealing and Pickling processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field, OR at least four years of experience in a manufacturing supervisor role.
- Ability to manage priorities and work schedules to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Minimum Education).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy industrial operations, such as steel, metals, or chemicals.
- Technical experience with PLCs, motor control centers, static drives, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a diverse and represented hourly workforce.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain related company systems.
