REPCO, is seeking a full-time salesperson to join our team! The Bakery Technical Salesperson is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, strategic account expansion, and technical solution selling across REPCO’s bakery ingredient portfolio (enzymes, dough conditioners, functional ingredients). This role requires a highly consultative, data-driven, and relationship-oriented sales leader with a proven track record of selling value-added ingredient solutions into complex, multi-stakeholder environments. This role is a high-impact, strategic, technical sales role responsible for:
- Winning and growing enterprise bakery accounts
- Driving solution-based selling tied to measurable business outcomes

The Bakery Technical Salesperson serves as a trusted advisor to mid-size and enterprise bakery manufacturers, leveraging deep technical knowledge and commercial expertise to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization

- Drive new business acquisition and account growth within mid-size and enterprise bakery manufacturers and ingredient distributors across the U.S.
- Build and execute strategic account plans targeting key accounts (e.g., national/regional bakery manufacturers, co-manufacturers, private label producers).
- Develop multi-threaded relationships across and through the organization at any level.
- Technical & Solution-Based Selling
- Leverage deep expertise in bakery formulations, enzymes, and functional ingredients to diagnose customer challenges and deliver performance-driven solutions (e.g., shelf-life, texture, clean-label, cost optimization, process efficiency).
- Lead technical presentations, plant trials, and product demonstrations with cross-functional customer teams.
- Translate technical benefits into quantifiable business value (cost savings, yield improvement, line efficiency, quality consistency).
- Enterprise Sales Execution
- Manage the full sales cycle, including:
- Prospecting and pipeline development
- Discovery and needs assessment
- Technical validation and trials
- Commercial negotiation and closing
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and KPI targets aligned with Bakery Business Unit objectives.
- Maintain strong forecast accuracy and pipeline discipline using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with:
- R&D / Bakery Scientists – to align on formulation, trials, and innovation.
- Marketing – to develop value messaging and industry positioning.
- Operations / Supply Chain – to ensure delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to new product development and commercialization strategy based on customer insights and market trends.
- Market Intelligence & Industry Leadership
- Maintain a deep understanding of:
- Bakery industry trends (clean label, enzymes, shelf-life, frozen dough, etc.)
- Competitive landscape analysis.
- Represent REPCO at various industry events and trade shows throughout the U.S.
- Position REPCO as a thought leader and preferred partner in bakery ingredient solutions.
- Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for assigned accounts
- Ensure exceptional customer experience, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
- Drive long-term partnerships and repeat business growth.
- Compliance, Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure alignment and working knowledge with:
- HACCP principles.
- FSSC 22000 / ISO standards.
- Food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for contracts, specifications, and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Food Science, Bakery Science, or related field preferred)
- Master’s degree or advanced technical training is a plus
- 7–12 years of progressive sales experience in bakery ingredients, food ingredients, or functional additives.
- Must be able to maintain an active U.S. Passport
- Travel up to 40% (approx. as business needs)
- Proven success selling into:
- Mid-size and enterprise bakery manufacturers
- Complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence within the organization and with customers.
- Strong background in:
- Enzymes, dough conditioners, or functional bakery ingredients
- Technical selling and plant trials
