GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Success Coaches empower students to thrive academically, personally, and professionally through proactive outreach, individualized coaching, and strategic intervention that promote persistence and completion. Success Coaches build self-efficacy, develop college success skills, connect students to resources and opportunities, and support students in navigating the college experience from entry through goal attainment. Success Coaches collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to address barriers early, provide timely intervention, and help students build habits that lead to long-term achievement and holistic well-being. This position receives general direction from the Associate Director of Success Coaching Services and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:

Organization: managing multiple priorities, timelines, and a dynamic caseload with consistency and attention to detail; 10. Case Management: documenting interactions accurately, tracking progress toward goals, and maintaining timely follow-up; 11. Workshop & Program Development: designing, marketing, delivering, and evaluating group learning experiences that build student skills; 12. Technology: using Microsoft applications, Adobe tools, and internal case management systems to support communication and documentation; Ability to: 13. Maintain professional boundaries while providing caring, culturally responsive support; 14. Adapt to individual student needs in diverse situations with sound judgment; 15. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity; 16. Work flexible or non-traditional hours when needed for student programming and outreach; 17. Maintain a caring, solutions-focused mindset in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload; 18. Contribute positively to a campus culture where every interaction communicates care, respect, and student-centered service.
WORKINGCONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience: More than one year of work experience in education, student or social services, or closely related field
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree in higher education, student affairs administration, counseling or closely related field from an accredited college or university
Experience: More than one year of work experience in higher education, student services, academic support, counseling, or closely related field
