Job Title: Technical Writer – ICAM Projects
Location: Hybrid Remote, On-Site 2-3 days/week in Alexandria, VA
Clearance: Secret
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Writer with 6 years of experience supporting ATO documentation for RMF packages and creating technical/end-user training materials. The role supports Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) projects, including Microsoft Entra, Ping Identity, SailPoint, and CyberArk. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional on-site presence in Alexandria, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of the ICAM project implementation team.
- Develop and maintain RMF artifacts including System Security Plans (SSP), POA&Ms, and security control documentation.
- Validate control implementations and test procedures; support RMF process to achieve or renew Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Create and maintain technical and end-user training materials.
- Assist with ACAS scan assessments, STIG reviews, and security policy implementation.
- Collaborate with ISSOs, validators, and internal/external teams to ensure compliance and system security.
- Participate in business process evaluation and requirements gathering.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in information assurance, operational support, or technical writing supporting RMF/ATO processes.
- Hands-on experience with DISA STIGs, STIG Viewer, and NIST 800-37/800-53 standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office and documentation tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- BS/BA in CS, IT, or STEM equivalent.
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT II certification requirements.
- U.S. Citizenship and active or eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
