The Landscape Sales and Design Professional is responsible for managing sales opportunities and converting client inquiries into well-scoped, profitable landscape projects for. This role combines consultative sales, practical landscape design, and operational coordination to ensure projects are accurately sold, clearly defined, and ready for successful execution. The position works closely with Operations and Production teams to support company standards for quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage sales inquiries through phone, email, and digital channels in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct on-site consultations to evaluate property conditions, client goals, scope, and budget expectations
- Develop landscape designs and solutions that align with client needs, site constraints, and operational capabilities
- Provide information to the estimator to develop accurate estimates that meet company pricing and margin requirements
- Create and present proposals and guide clients through the decision-making and approval process
- Maintain consistent follow-up with clients to move projects toward contract execution
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Estimating, and Production teams to ensure designs are buildable and clearly defined
- Ensure all sold work is properly documented to support efficient scheduling, material procurement, and installation
- Support the handoff of approved projects to Operations and remain involved as needed through project kickoff
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of client communication, proposals, and sales activity
- Stay current on materials, installation methods, and industry best practices to support informed sales and design decisions
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Associate’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred
- Relevant landscape or construction industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Ongoing training in CAD-based design programs, estimating tools, and company systems
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in landscape sales, design, or client-facing project development roles
- Strong understanding of landscape installation methods, materials, and construction sequencing
- Working knowledge of CAD-based landscape design programs (e.g., AutoCAD, Land F/X, Dynascape, or similar)
- Experience preparing estimates, proposals, and scopes of work for installation projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations and Production teams
- Familiarity with CRM, estimating, or job management software preferred

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally reach, twist, kneel, climb, and squat as needed
- Capacity to work on a computer for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. independently
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
