What You’ll Be Doing.
The Health & Safety Coordinator is required to assist and support in the development and execution of the health & safety and security agenda for the plant, focusing on continuous improvement of health & safety policies and procedures, injury prevention, safety management, plant security, crisis management, and compliance with all applicable Federal and local health & safety compliance obligations. Must be local to Appleton, WI - no relocation offered. Your day-to-day may consist of:
- Ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies through daily monitoring and activities.
- Conducts regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments of facilities and equipment, supporting corrective actions and improvements.
- Analyzes safety data, incidents, and injury trends to identify opportunities for training, behavioral change, and workflow enhancement.
- Assists in investigating workplace incidents and supports the development of preventive action plans.
- Delivers health & safety training, maintains required documentation and reports, and collaborates effectively with teams and committees.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful.
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree required; A focus in health and safety strongly preferred
- At least 3 years of Health & Safety experience required
- ISO Management Systems experience is preferred
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or accredited Health & Safety Certification preferred
- Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
- Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
- Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
- Consistently brings a positive, team-focused attitude to work.
- Demonstrates adaptability, technical proficiency, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively to ensure effective and logical decision-making in diverse situations.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Is goal-oriented with a desire to drive change and maintains high standards for visual and operational quality.
