Mb Staffing Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to support Business Development and Contractor Employment Compliance Programs. This professional will play a key role in ensuring contractors and subcontractors meet affirmative action, labor, and certified business participation requirements for construction and procurement projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract compliance, procurement, and labor standards, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting high-impact infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review construction projects to ensure compliance with affirmative action, labor standards, and minority business participation goals.
- Evaluate solicitations and contractor agreements to confirm compliance with certified business and labor provisions.
- Analyze and assess contractor affirmative action plans and subcontracting provisions, providing guidance to bring plans into compliance.
- Conduct compliance reviews, site visits, and interviews to verify adherence to contract requirements and workforce participation.
- Support outreach programs by engaging vendors, small businesses, and trade associations at community and industry events.
- Investigate potential violations and prepare compliance reports and corrective action documentation.
- Provide training and technical assistance to contractors and subcontractors regarding compliance procedures and reporting.
- Maintain updated listings of certified businesses and assist in tracking program participation metrics.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports summarizing program performance and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction contracting, compliance, or procurement.
- Preferred Certifications: NIGP, NCMA, or ISM certification a plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement and contract compliance procedures.
- Ability to interpret and apply labor and affirmative action standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Salary : $81,120 - $100,880
