We are seeking a Construction Project Accountant to manage financial operations for construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting. You’ll collaborate with project managers and finance teams to monitor expenses, prepare invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure projects stay on budget and compliant with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting for construction projects
- Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and change orders
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Track budgets, identify cost overruns or savings opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Assist with monthly/quarterly financial statements and audit support
- Implement construction accounting best practices and controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments
- Proficiency with Procurify, Bill.com, QuickBooks Enterprise, and Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and effective communication abilities
