Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Informatics Analyst to join our healthcare technology team in California. The ideal candidate will assist in analyzing healthcare data, optimizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, improving clinical workflows, and supporting data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals interested in healthcare IT, data analytics, and health informatics.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret healthcare data to identify trends and improve patient care.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EHR systems.
- Collaborate with clinical, technical, and administrative teams to enhance healthcare processes.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with data validation, quality assurance, and system testing.
- Document workflows, business requirements, and system improvements.
- Provide end-user support and training for healthcare applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Stay current with healthcare technology standards and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Health Informatics and Healthcare Information Systems.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis techniques.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and ICD-10.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in Health Informatics, Healthcare IT, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (preferred but not required):
- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
