As a Quality Specialist, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards for our products, from initial design to final delivery. You'll ensure adherence to specifications, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners to guarantee product excellence. Your expertise in quality assurance methodologies and attention to detail will directly impact product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Champion quality by developing and implementing solutions for diverse projects, enhancing product integrity.
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), to ensure consistent standards and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in project meetings, offering quality insights during project transfers, customer kick-offs, and pre-inspection meetings.
- Provide crucial quality assurance support to internal teams, including Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing, ensuring alignment on quality objectives.
- Collaborate with external customers to guarantee project quality, overseeing customer-witnessed testing and inspections to meet their expectations.
- Drive task completion within cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving quality goals.
- Perform internal quality audits and lead continuous improvement projects, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving to proactively address and prevent quality issues, ensuring robust corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical and quality-related issues.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and quality engineering principles.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a quality-focused role with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, including Kaizen and Blueprint Reading.
- Experience with rotating equipment, such as compressors, turbines, and pumps.
- Quality certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQA, CQT, CQM, CRE) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
