Electro-Mechanical Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our plant operations. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, conduct preventative maintenance, and implement system improvements. Your proficiency in PLC systems and diagnostic tools will be crucial to maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures in manufacturing and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Install and configure mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with regulatory and local codes to improve operational capabilities.
- Interpret equipment schematics and service manuals to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures.
- Fabricate and modify equipment components using welding and bolting techniques to meet specific operational needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing solutions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience with technical certification, or 3 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment schematics and service manuals.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with industrial control systems, including PLCs.
- Familiarity with a wide array of measuring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong verbal communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
