We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining production equipment and facility systems, focusing on minimizing downtime and improving overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep equipment running efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions using blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals, ensuring quick and effective solutions.
- Support the installation, setup, and modification of machinery, enhancing production capabilities and adapting to new requirements.
- Document all maintenance activities and track parts usage within the CMMS, maintaining accurate records and aiding in inventory management.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing line performance and address any operational issues.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures, promoting a secure and compliant work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects by analyzing recurring equipment failures and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely availability of necessary components.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational training program is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and equipment manuals accurately.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in PLC troubleshooting and basic controls.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks safely.
