Senior Machine Maintenance Specialist
About the Role
As a Senior Machine Maintenance Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining all production equipment within our facility, working in close collaboration with the Engineering department on machine-related projects. You will champion maintenance best practices, enhance equipment reliability, and deliver advanced technical support, all while coordinating efforts with Plant Maintenance and various cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and foster a secure work environment.
Perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair production equipment, addressing both electrical and mechanical components.
Work with CNC and PLC-controlled machinery; diagnose electrical system problems and operate within control panels as a certified Arc Flash technician.
Interpret technical documents including diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications.
Modify, monitor, or develop PLC ladder logic; generate electrical drawings and programs for equipment upgrades.
Install electrical, air, and data connections for machinery.
Coordinate with external contractors and confirm the quality and accuracy of their work.
Design and implement electrical circuits and technology enhancements to meet production demands.
Develop and refine preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Conduct equipment calibration and assist with modifications, upgrades, overhauls, and root-cause failure investigations.
Maintain detailed work logs, uphold 5S standards, and support ISO 13485 compliance.
Provide training to junior team members on maintenance protocols and standards.
Spearhead improvement initiatives to boost production efficiency.
Oversee the procurement of parts, tools, and supplies using ERP systems.
Participate in annual budget planning and accommodate flexible work hours as required.
Handle additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent practical skills; capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and effective time management.
Demonstrated experience with CNC and PLC-controlled equipment.
Competent in using MS Office applications.
Exceptional diagnostic skills for CNC manufacturing equipment.
Proficient in interpreting blueprints, manuals, and wiring schematics.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Forklift operation and OSHA safety certifications.
Education
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance.
