As an Inventory Specialist, you will be at the heart of ensuring operational efficiency by meticulously managing inventory levels and supporting both warehouse and production activities. Your expertise in inventory control and data management will directly impact supply chain effectiveness and production throughput.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily tracking and management of raw materials and finished goods to maintain alignment with production plans.
- Conduct regular inventory counts for raw materials and assist with audits of finished goods to ensure accuracy.
- Serve as a key point of contact, communicating frequently with the Supply Chain Manager regarding critical materials such as resin, colorants, labels, and packaging.
- Manage procurement and stock levels for essential plant materials, including resin, color, labels, and packaging supplies.
- Develop and maintain resin supply forecasts for up to three months, coordinating silo and railcar scheduling to prevent shortages.
- Maintain and update inventory records using Excel and inventory management systems like ProTraQ and E1 to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, quality assurance, scheduling, and shipping teams to optimize operational workflows.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing inventory database systems, specifically ProTraQ and E1.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to effectively manage spreadsheets and generate reports.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, coupled with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, including invoices, Bills of Materials (BOM), and manufacturing processes.
