About the Role
We are seeking a skilled electromechanical technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. In this role, you will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, fabricate parts, and collaborate with production teams to address equipment-related issues. Your expertise in PLC troubleshooting and electrical systems diagnostics will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment to maintain production efficiency.
- Fabricate replacement parts as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Communicate project needs effectively with maintenance and production supervisors/managers to ensure alignment.
- Promote a safe work environment by adhering to excellent housekeeping standards and addressing safety issues promptly.
- Collaborate with operators and plant supervision to maintain effective communication and address equipment concerns.
- Contribute to the training and skill development of other maintenance and production personnel as required.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC ladder diagram reading and understanding of wiring diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Skills
- Technical school certificate or diploma in electronics technology, electro-mechanical engineering technology, or a related field.
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.
- Proficient to expert electrical and controls knowledge; Allen Bradley experience preferred.
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing.
- PLC Programming Experience
