About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep and optimal performance of our production machines and plant facilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. Your expertise in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and industrial equipment will be essential to our operational success.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Install and align mechanical equipment using precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to facilitate effective repairs and installations.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform necessary repairs to maintain equipment functionality.
- Utilize welding equipment and perform minor machine work to fabricate or repair parts.
- Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage systems (up to 480V 3-phase, 500V DC) and low-voltage control circuits.
- Analyze and repair electro-mechanical equipment, including processors, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and applications, including Ohm's Law.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical data.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to use hand and power tools for electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with testing instruments such as digital multi-meters and amp meters.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a thermoforming and extrusion environment.
- Welding certification or proven welding experience.
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and repair.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
