About the Role
Our manufacturing facility is looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to help optimize our production capabilities. You will play a key role in the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of our facility systems and machinery. We are seeking a candidate who excels at mechanical and electrical diagnostics, thrives on resolving intricate equipment challenges, and is dedicated to ensuring maximum operational efficiency in a high-speed production setting.
Core Responsibilities- Execute all scheduled, predictive, and emergency repairs on production machinery.
- Identify and resolve malfunctions across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
- Analyze and fix issues with PLC-based machinery, with a preference for experience in Allen-Bradley or Siemens environments.
- Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide repair processes.
- Restore functionality to essential components like gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, and power transmission systems.
- Ensure electrical systems, including VFDs, contactors, and control circuits, are functioning correctly to support team productivity.
- Assist in the setup, integration, and launch of newly acquired production hardware.
- Conduct necessary fabrication, welding, and machining tasks to support facility needs.
- Document all maintenance activities precisely within our CMMS platform.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to boost equipment longevity and reduce operational stoppages.
- Uphold a secure and orderly workspace while strictly adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Engage in root cause analysis to help drive long-term process improvements.
- Completion of a GED or high school diploma.
- A technical certification or degree in industrial maintenance is highly desirable.
- Minimum of three years working in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Proven background working with PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and electrical controls.
- Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Practical experience utilizing precision tools and standard maintenance gear.
- Basic skills in welding and metal fabrication are considered an advantage.
- Physical capability to handle up to 50 pounds and operate within an industrial plant environment.
- Expertise in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting Siemens PLC systems.
- Hands-on experience with robotics from manufacturers like Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or Yaskawa.
- Knowledge of motion control and servo motor systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks like Profinet or EtherNet/IP.
- Proficiency in CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP PM, or Fiix.
- Background in heavy industry, automotive, food, or packaging manufacturing.
- A natural aptitude for technical problem-solving.
- A reliable and self-driven work ethic.
