About the Role
As a Specialty Services Technician, you will be a key player in ensuring the optimal performance of critical healthcare equipment. Leveraging your technical skills, you will perform cleaning and maintenance on large hospital sterilizers, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your expertise in electro-mechanical systems and proactive communication will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing proactive and professional communication, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
- Communicate preventative cleaning needs, scheduling details, and equipment status updates to customers, fostering strong relationships and promoting services.
- Execute sterilizer cleaning procedures, including chemical handling, pressure adjustments, and equipment maintenance, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the scheduling team, supervisor, and customers to optimize service routes and maintain service standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate contacts for resolution.
- Utilize company-provided technology (smartphone, laptop, software) to complete administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and parts inventory, ensuring safe and effective operation through proper maintenance and issue escalation.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience, including at least 1 year in a technical or service-related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, automotive).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and smartphone usage.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Associate’s degree, related certifications, or military experience may be considered towards minimum years of work experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, with willingness to travel up to 50% overnight.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
