About the Role
Are you a mechanically-inclined individual who enjoys hands-on work? As an Equipment Service Technician, you'll leverage your skills in troubleshooting and repair to maintain critical equipment, primarily within hospital settings. This role offers a blend of independent work and team support, allowing you to manage your schedule while contributing to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, systems, and components.
- Independently manage your schedule to meet customer and business needs, including PM performance, service calls, and equipment installations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technical Support, Engineering) to resolve complex issues, utilizing technology platforms to document troubleshooting and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide customers with clear information, pricing, and repair options, fostering strong relationships to enhance customer experience and identify potential revenue opportunities.
- Offer support across various locations within your assigned territory, adapting to diverse service agreements and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a mechanical/technical role.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and physical assessment requirements for vendor credentialing.
- Demonstrated experience in customer and team engagement.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer skills (MS Windows/email, mobile apps, data entry).
- Ability to adapt to flexible schedules, including potential overnights and early/late hours.
Preferred Skills
- Associate’s degree or related certifications in a technical/mechanical field.
- Experience with HVAC, mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
