As an Equipment Technician, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring equipment reliability, performing troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of systems. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work independently while being part of a supportive team.
Individuals with experience in fields such as HVAC repair, mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, equipment repair, diesel and automotive repair, aviation repair, plumbing, or electrical work are often successful in this role.
Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on equipment, systems, and components to ensure optimal performance.
- Independently manage your schedule to complete preventative maintenance, service calls, equipment installations, and field upgrade programs, prioritizing customer and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as technical support and engineering, to escalate issues, utilize technology platforms, and document troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options, fostering strong relationships to enhance customer experience and identify potential revenue opportunities.
- Provide support to various locations within the assigned territory based on service agreements and customer needs, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a mechanical/technical role; Associate’s degree or related certifications may be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
- Experience in customer and team engagement.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Windows/email, mobile app navigation, and data input into multiple systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with diverse equipment repair.
- Ability to manage flexible schedules, including potential overnights and early/late hours.
