About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Specialist to maintain and repair industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. In this role, you will apply your expertise in electrical theory, mechanical systems, and programmable logic controls to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading schematics will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, starters, and control circuits, to minimize downtime.
- Install and maintain electrical equipment, such as conduits, transformers, and pull boxes, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance and resolve operational issues.
- Fabricate replacement parts using machine and hand tools, ensuring precise fit and functionality.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues, ensuring smooth operations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to proactively identify and address potential problems.
- Provide guidance and training to other maintenance personnel and production associates on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Required Skills
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting and programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand/power tools effectively and safely.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with precision equipment alignments.
- Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and conveyor systems.
- Certification in electrical maintenance or a related field.
- Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
