RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Provide complex paralegal support for the firmβs attorneys, other managers and staff members.
- Research, gather, and compile data on various legal issues, statutes, rules, precedents, facts, evidence, codes, and contracts for the preparation of cases, legal documents, case authorities, and legal citations to assist attorneys.
- Draft and / or compile information to assist in drafting a variety of documents to support attorneys and staff within required timelines and per established procedures and format.
- On occasion, drafting of correspondence to communicate with opposing counsel, the client, and/or vendors may be expected.
- Prepare subpoenas for individuals and documents; manage and track all information and processes related to subpoenas; contact, coordinate and arrange for service of subpoenas, and service of process along with proofs of service.
- All tasks associated with producing documents in response to discovery, third party subpoenas, or Public Records Act requests including redactions for privilege, confidentiality, or privacy; bates labeling; and privilege log creation.
- Organize and assist in trial or administrative hearing preparation including preparation of subpoenas, compilation and tracking of deposition transcripts to be lodged with the court; preparation of trial exhibits, evidence, notebooks, witness binders, and other related materials;
- Support additional initiatives as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2-3 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Exceptional communication skills to communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
