Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient and reliable production. This role supports preventative maintenance efforts and works closely with production to minimize downtime in a plastics manufacturing environment.
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and write effectively
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; injection molding experience preferred
- Experience working with 480/240V three-phase systems and industrial power distribution
- Understanding of electrical control systems, including motor starters, heater circuits, relays, fuses, transformers, and contactors
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, directional valves, relief valves, and pressure/flow concepts
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and machine control prints
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, including dryers, grinders, loaders, mold heaters, and chillers
- Maintain production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Use hand and power tools to install, adjust, and repair machinery, wiring, piping, and components
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery, tools, and work areas
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support team members with maintenance tasks and equipment repairs as needed
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $35.00 - $38.00 an hour, depending on experience
