CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating both milling and turning equipment within a team-based machine cell. This role involves working with Mazak lathes and Makino vertical mills to produce repetitive cast iron parts, while supporting secondary operations such as deburring, washing, and packaging.
Requirements of the CNC Machinist
- Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience with both milling and turning
- Experience operating Mazak lathes and/or Makino vertical mills preferred
- Strong measurement and gauging skills (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to handle repetitive production work with high attention to detail
- Experience working with cast iron materials preferred
- Ability to manage multiple machines and tasks in a team-based environment
Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist
- Operate CNC lathe and vertical mill within a shared machine cell
- Perform part changeovers and monitor machining operations for quality and efficiency
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Handle repetitive production of cast iron parts with consistent accuracy
- Perform secondary operations including deburring, washing, and packaging
- Support team operations, including running multiple machines when needed
2nd shift, DIRECT HIRE
Schedule: 3:30PM - 2:00AM Monday through Thursday
Pay is $25.00 - $28.00 an hour with a $2.50 shift differential.
