Investment Operations Associate
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Position Overview
The operational associate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of operational processes that support portfolio activity, client onboarding, account maintenance, and day-to-day investment operations. This individual will partner closely with internal teams including portfolio management, client service, compliance, and external custodians/vendors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Trading Support
- Assist with implementation of portfolio changes, model updates, and account transitions
- Support trade execution workflows and post-trade operational processes
- Monitor account activity to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions
- Coordinate portfolio rebalancing and cash movement requests
Account Administration & Client Support
- Facilitate new account onboarding, account maintenance, and documentation processing
- Coordinate transfers, distributions, contributions, and account updates
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams regarding operational requests and account status
- Support high-quality service delivery through timely follow-up and issue resolution
Reconciliation & Oversight
- Perform daily operational reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with custodians, administrators, and external service providers
- Maintain accurate records across portfolio accounting and CRM systems
- Ensure data integrity across internal platforms and reporting tools
Process Improvement & Team Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, and efficiency
- Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and operational initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, client service, and compliance teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-first culture focused on excellence and accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years of experience in investment operations, portfolio operations, wealth management operations, or financial services administration
- Understanding of custodial platforms, account administration, and investment operations workflows
- Experience with reconciliations, onboarding, money movement, or portfolio implementation processes preferred
- Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems and technology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach
- Experience with platforms such as Addepar, Orion, Tamarac, Salesforce, or similar systems is a plus
