HRIS Analyst
Location: Greater Boston Area (Hybrid)
Position Overview
A well-established professional services organization is seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst to serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for its Human Resources Information System. This highly visible role partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and business leaders to ensure the integrity of employee data, optimize HR technology, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance the overall employee experience. Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration
- Administer and maintain the organization's enterprise HRIS across core HR, payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and talent management functions.
- Configure workflows, security roles, user permissions, and system business rules.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and implementation of new functionality.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
Employee & HR Support
- Serve as the primary resource for HRIS-related questions from employees and HR team members.
- Deliver timely, professional support while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Develop user documentation, training materials, and system guides.
- Support HR initiatives including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes from a systems perspective.
Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure the integrity of HR data.
- Conduct routine audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Manage data imports, exports, integrations, and system interfaces.
- Document HRIS procedures, data standards, and internal controls.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for HR leadership and key stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards and workforce analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, compliance, and workforce trends.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Projects & Process Improvement
- Participate in HR technology initiatives, system implementations, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Gather business requirements, perform system testing, and support implementation activities.
- Recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting capabilities, and the employee experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 5 years of experience in HRIS administration, HR operations, payroll, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience administering an enterprise-level HRIS platform.
- Strong understanding of HR processes including payroll, benefits, recruiting, compensation, and performance management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience creating HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple HR functional areas within an enterprise HRIS environment.
- Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting, or dashboard development tools.
- Demonstrated success improving HR systems, reporting capabilities, and operational processes.

Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
