Responsibilities

• Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff to support smooth service operations.
• Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Support food safety management by properly disposing of waste and ensuring all cleaning supplies are used safely and effectively.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and dish racks to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Bypass cross-contamination risks by adhering to proper bussing procedures and maintaining organized dish storage.
• Collaborate with team members during catering or banquet events to ensure timely dishwashing and overall cleanliness.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling practices, and basic kitchen safety standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting busy kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with food service environments such as hotels, catering events, or large-scale dining establishments is a plus.
• Basic knife skills or experience with food preparation can be advantageous but are not mandatory.
