What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Maintenance Tech Lead position at Martinrea International Inc.?
Required Education and Experience:
- Completion of Industrial Maintenance apprenticeship program, and one to two years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and welding knowledge
- Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, organizational, time management, and decision making skills
- Must be able to work in a team and independently
- Must be able to prioritize, work with limited supervision, give instruction, and be willing to be hands-on with projects
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Scissor lift, forklift, and crane licenses
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949
Essential Functions:
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Ensure production floor runs smoothly and efficiently by performing maintenance tasks
- As machines break down, perform the necessary repairs and look for ways to improve processes
- Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or maintenance or robot technician personnel
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists maintenance and robot technicians in solving work problems
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate associates to achieve work goals
- Assist electricians as necessary
- Assist preventative maintenance crew as necessary
- Receive work orders and complete in timely manner
- Perform weld fabrication (guards, stands, tables, work benches, etc.)
- Train, direct, and assist all maintenance employees within area of responsibility
- Communicate with upper management and support other departments when necessary
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planes and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
