About the Role
Martin Equipment is looking for a driven and customer-focused Sales Territory Manager to represent our full line of Construction and Forestry machinery within an assigned territory. In this role, you’ll build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, grow market share, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets. You’ll maintain expert knowledge of our equipment lineup, financing options, and competitive landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Manage machinery sales within an assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor competitive activity and communicate insights to management
- Maintain accurate customer information and follow the defined sales process
- Conduct equipment field demonstrations
- Assist with customer events
- Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment
- Stay current on financing programs to support customer purchases
- Participate in sales training, meetings, and seminars
- Evaluate used equipment and maintain knowledge of market values
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in construction machinery
- Understanding of heavy-duty equipment operation and application
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interpret basic sales reports
- Team-oriented with strong independent work skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of construction and forestry equipment preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work long days, flexible hours, and occasional weekends
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, and driving
- Occasional bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment
- Manual dexterity
Work Environment
- Work performed at a desk, on company property, and on customer sites
- Occasional exposure to shop environments: dust, heat, cold, fumes, noise, grease, vibration, chemicals
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
PPE Provided
All required PPE is provided by Martin Equipment (including safety glasses, gloves, boots). PPE must be worn where required.
Salary : $80,000
