We are currently hiring a full-time Resident Field Technician based out of our Tolono, IL location, serving Douglas, Edgar, Coles, Clark, Cumberland, Shelby counties, and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do
As a Resident Field Technician, you’ll bring expertise directly to the customer—diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment to keep operations running.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel equipment
- Travel daily to customer job sites within your assigned region
- Operate and maintain your service truck and tools
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
- Order parts and accurately document service work for invoicing
- Ensure adherence to company, safety, and manufacturer standards
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in diesel equipment repair (hydraulics & electrical)
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Class A CDL (preferred)
- Technical training or certifications (preferred)
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday | Typical hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays based on customer needs
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a hands-on, field-based role working around heavy equipment:
- Lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, and work in various positions
- Work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Exposure to mechanical equipment and shop environments
- Occasional work at heights

- PPE provided, including safety glasses, gloves, and boots
