What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECEPTIONIST (Non Union) position at MARTHA T BERRY MCF?
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this job position is to perform clerical support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by the supervisor. The statements contained in this position description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- I have the ability to greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate office and/or resident rooms.
- I will professionally answer telephone; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- I can give directions to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
- I will issue and collect identification badges as representatives sign in and out.
- I will maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
- I perform other duties as needed or assigned
- I attend and participate in meetings, workshops and seminars, and share information learned with others.
EDUCATION, TRAIN ING AND EXPERIENCE:
- I possess a high school diploma or a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development Test.
- I have some previous clerical or customer service experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- I am able to use good professional judgment for the welfare and safety of residents and employees.
Martha T. Berry employees who are applying must meet the following 3 criteria:
1. No more than 5 absences in the last 6 months.
2. No more than 1 written discipline in the last 12 months.
3. Applications must pass any required job specific testing.
