What is Martha Lloyd Community Services?
Martha Lloyd opened as a boarding school in 1928. The school provided structure, a family like environment, and community for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. MLCS has since grown and continues to provide opportunities and lifestyle choices for persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. These services include adult day services, senior services, life sharing, residential facilities, and our Copper Tree Program.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH, check, and electronic disbursements in accordance with internal approval processes.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, W-9s, and ACH authorization forms.
- Support monthly closing activities, including reconciling AP reports to the general ledger.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation.
- Facilitate 1099 year-end reporting and compliance.
- Monitor and maintain digital filing systems for AP documentation.
- Participate in process improvements and internal control initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. Must have high school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or financial administration preferred.
- Must be bondable and able to maintain confidentiality of financial records.
- Proficiency in accounting and business software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and organization-specific systems (e.g., AccuFund, MITC, SignNow).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for interaction with vendors, staff, and program directors.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small business team.
