We’re a NY-based, growing catering company that focuses on crafting delicious and aesthetic buffets and canapés. Think a mix of globally curious foods and the best of the classics, all focused on quality.
We cater to a full spectrum of NYC clientele, from ambitious start-ups and household-name brands to intimate private gatherings. For each event, our goal is to make sure we deliver foods that are a highlight of their respective gatherings, all while maintaining precision and calm.
We’re looking to expand our roster of reliable freelancers to help us take on a growing number of events. We offer a quick one-time paid training, fast pay (within seven days an event), and no commitment to a set schedule. Only pick up shifts you can commit to. All positions are 1099 contractor, shift-by-shift. Perfect for restaurant pros who want a reliable side-gig.

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 6:00am-2:30pm
Core Mission
Own grocery orders, oversee and participate in food prep, prepare all boxes for the event, and package up all completed foods for transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside prep cooks to craft all designated recipe components
- Direct 1-3 Prep Cooks, manage pace
- Pack event-specific “Prep” and “Display” boxes against master list
- Communicate shortages or substitutions to Event Lead & Ops in real time

- Spot-on Timing – You know your pace and can finish tasks within a tight service window without cutting corners.
- Sharp Critical Thinking – When plans change—or an ingredient runs out—you troubleshoot calmly and protect flavor and presentation.
- Instinctive Cooking Skills – You can season, balance, and adjust on the fly, turning loose guidelines into food that tastes incredible.

Skills & Experience
- 3 years in high-volume restaurant or catering production
- Advanced knife work and scaling; comfortable taking a recipe for 5 and making it for 50
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (or equivalent) required
- Calm, methodical, and able to teach junior cooks
