Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing site work construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, storm drainage, and erosion control. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements while coordinating with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. This role will also ensure timely and efficient communication, collaboration and management of subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contracts, plans, and specifications to identify risks and scope gaps
- Develop and manage project schedules and sequencing
- Coordinate with superintendents on manpower, equipment, and production
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, plans, and specifications
- Track project costs, budgets, and profit margins
- Prepare billing (SOVs) and costtocomplete forecasts
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices
- Manage cash flow and ensure accurate project closeout
- Identify and pursue change order opportunities
- Prepare, price, and negotiate change orders
- Serve as primary contact for clients, engineers, and inspectors
- Lead internal and external project meetings
- Coordinate permitting, inspections, and testing
- Complete punch list items and closeout documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- 37 years of site work or civil construction experience
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, and stormwater systems
- Experience with project financials, scheduling, and cost tracking
- Proficiency in construction software (HCSS, Bluebeam, Excel)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with commercial, residential, municipal and DOT projects
- Knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes
