Join our vibrant farmers market team as a Farmers Market Vendor for Chesterton, Indiana (Saturdays) and Frankfort, Illinois (Sundays). Must be able to work all weekends April 26 - Sept 5. Additional bonus available for attending all markets. Valid drivers license and safe.driving record required.
Duties
- Load bakery van with product, drive to Chesterton, IN (Saturdays) and Frankfort, Illinois (Sundays) and set up displays.
- MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 #
- Set up attractive and organized vendor stalls to display fresh bakery goods
- Engage with customers through friendly, informative interactions to enhance their shopping experience.
- Conduct product demonstrations and sampling to showcase the quality and uniqueness of your offerings.
- Collect customer feedback and sales data to inform inventory decisions and improve service.
- Manage social media accounts by posting updates, promotions, and engaging content to attract more visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive marketplace environment.
Skills
- Experience in food service or retail sales with a passion for local foods and community markets.
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management to boost visibility and engagement online.
- Ability to perform data collection related to sales trends, customer preferences, or inventory levels.
- Skilled in public speaking or branding to effectively promote products during demos or market events.
