Position Overview
We’re seeking a litigation-ready Associate Attorney with strong attention to detail, a commitment to client advocacy, and a desire to grow within employment law.
The ideal candidate has experience handling plaintiff-only employment law claims, including:
- Discrimination and retaliation
- Whistleblower protection
- Workers’ compensation retaliation
- Failure to accommodate (ADA)
- FMLA and pregnancy rights
- Wage and hour violations
- Wrongful termination under state and federal statutes
- Represent clients in employment matters and provide legal counsel and advocacy in civil proceedings.
- Manage a caseload from pre-suit through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft complaints, pleadings, and motions.
- Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
- File legal documents in state and federal portals.
- Negotiate settlements and attend conferences.
- Collaborate with supervising attorneys on legal strategies.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and opposing counsel.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred (new attorneys with relevant clinic or clerkship experience are encouraged to apply).
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Passion for advocacy and client service.
- Employment law or civil litigation experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
