- Conduct in-depth legal research and writing specific to employment law.
- Utilize research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal case management systems to gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Assist with drafting legal documents such as pleadings, memoranda, and pre-suit matters.
- Support attorneys by proofreading and editing legal drafts to ensure correctness and adherence to formatting standards.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case management and maintain meticulous records of research findings and case updates.
- Manage administrative tasks including filing documents electronically or physically, scheduling interviews or client meetings, and maintaining organized case files for easy retrieval.
- Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience demonstrating familiarity with a broad range of practice areas such as civil litigation and employment law.
- Current law students considered for position.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms to locate relevant legal information efficiently.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and conduct thorough proofreading.
- Experience with data entry, filing procedures (both electronic and physical), and general clerical tasks within a busy law office environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills including professional phone etiquette for interviewing clients or coordinating with team members.
