Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring meals are crafted to high standards of quality and presentation
• Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and preparing components for service
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety regulations
• Participate in meal assembly, plating, and serving to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests or clients
• Contribute to catering events by setting up stations, serving guests, and managing food service logistics
• Maintain kitchen organization by cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly
• Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals according to dietary restrictions or guidelines

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments within healthcare or hospitality settings, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Experience in fine dining environments or restaurant settings demonstrating attention to detail and quality standards
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Skilled in knife techniques, food presentation, and culinary fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting customer service efforts
