What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCD Wire EDM Operator (SC) position at MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG?
Your Tasks
- Must ensure all tooling is inspected for proper manufacturing to blueprint specifications and MAPAL standards
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Tool measurement and testing according to the blueprints and appropriate measurement tools such as Kelch, Zoller, etc.
- Produce product in accordance with job router, print and capacity in the most efficient manner. Program, set-up and operate Wire EDM machine to conform to PCD product specifications
- Implement and inspect equipment maintenance according to maintenance schedule
- Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized and clean to Mapal standards
- Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure and standards
- Ensure written flow charts, work instructions and/or standards for each position responsibility is consistent and accurate. Update, refine and adjust as needed or required
- Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Plant Manager
- Tasks as assigned to qualification standard

- Detail oriented and skilled in understanding process workflow
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- 0-3 years education, experience, OJT program or equivalent, working with Wire EDM machines
- Demonstrated experience with metal cutting principles
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints
