What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Manufacturing Company?
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant that has experience in accounting in a large manufacturing company. Candidate will assist the Financial Accounting Manager in handling quarterly and year-end requirements, along with internal and external audits.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex customer contracts to determine appropriate billing and revenue recognition policies.
- Develop close working relationships with the project managers; participate in project update meetings, educate and provide financial guidance as necessary.
- Record transactions for billing activities, adjustments and journal entries related to revenue recognition.
- Monitor past due accounts receivable and work with project managers to resolve project issues that may be holding up payments, contacting customers as necessary.
- Prepare account reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable related accounts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements related to projects, billing, revenue recognition and related accounting policies.
- Assist with the implementation of system modules
- Assist in preparation of financial data and support for tax packages, audits, budgets, and periodic forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related footnotes.
- Assist with the implementation of SOX and ensure compliance.
- Assist with special projects and activities as requested.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience.
- 5 years of experience in corporate accounting function of public company preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
