About the Role
We are a small company with a Global footprint, serving customers across the U.S. and Internationally.
We're looking for an Experienced Mechanical Technician who loves building large machines from scratch and see it leave the premises to produce product for people all over the world.
This is Not an entry-level role. Understanding and Reading drawings is a must to produce high-quality work with tight tolerances.
This will be hands-on work, assembling machines, rebuilding equipment, and solving mechanical problems in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Assembly & Repair
- Build and assemble machine components and subassemblies with minimal supervision
- Disassemble and rebuild machines for repair or modification
- Work from blueprints, schematics, and complex work diagrams
- Hold tight tolerances (primarily ± .001 where required)
Shop Work & Fabrication Support
- Operate manual shop equipment and machinery
- Modify, fit, and adjust parts as needed to ensure proper function
- Use hand and power tools confidently (grinders, drills, saws, pneumatic tools)
Quality Control
- Measure and verify parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Inspect materials and finished components for quality and accuracy
- Ensure all work meets company and customer specifications
General Shop Responsibilities
- Handle and move large, heavy materials safely
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Support overall shop productivity and workflow
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, machining, or industrial equipment repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience working to tight tolerances (± .001)
- Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working in an industrial environment
- High School Diploma Required.
- Nice to Have
- Experience working on industrial machinery or rotating equipment
- Experience with manual milling machines or similar shop equipment
- Experience with rebuilds, retrofits, or custom equipment
