We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Analyst to support the development and management of software systems used in the design and production of locomotives. This role focuses on software documentation control, supplier coordination, and compliance with industry engineering standards.
What You’ll Do
- Manage software project documentation across suppliers and internal engineering teams
- Develop and maintain software management plans aligned with customer and industry standards
- Track and coordinate software deliverables, schedules, and configuration records
- Review supplier software documentation for compliance with IEEE and EN standards
- Support configuration management and version control of software deliverables
- Recommend hardware and workstation specifications to support software needs
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely submission of software-related documentation
- Support process improvements aligned with CMMI and ISO quality frameworks
- Assist engineering and cross-functional teams with software lifecycle documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in software implementation, maintenance, or systems support
- Experience with software documentation, configuration management, or supplier software coordination
- Familiarity with embedded systems concepts preferred
- Knowledge of IEEE standards, EN standards (e.g., EN 50128), or regulated software environments a plus
- Understanding of CMMI, ISO 9000, or cybersecurity principles is highly desirable
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience
- Supplier or vendor management in engineering or industrial environments
- Software lifecycle management in regulated industries (rail, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing)
- Network and system integration fundamentals (LAN/WLAN concepts)

Pay: $94,224.42 - $122,000.00 per year
