PCB Layout

Position Summary

Responsible for all aspects of printed circuit board design including PCB Layout, Design Verification, some Library maintenance, and post processing.

This position is located at corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN and is a 5 day per week in-office position.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and redesigning PCBs from schematics and design requirements
• PCB Layout/PCB fabrication, assembly, and internal verification
• Collaborating with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers to make changes in design and documentation
• Altering drawings to meet engineering requirements and initiating engineering change orders
• Offer suggestions for PCB Design process improvements
• Other tasks as assigned

Required

• Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or similar field
• Experience with a PCB design software package (Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic and PCB Design software Release VX.2.0 and later is a plus )
• Familiar with IPC specifications and terminology as it relates to printed circuit board manufacturing
• Background with rigid, rigid flex, and flexible PCB designs utilizing multilayer and HDI technologies
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in setting up and modifying constraints in PCB Layout
• High speed PCB design experience
• Mentor Graphics suite of PCB tools
