Laser Technician

Our client, a leader in advanced optical and laser systems, is seeking a Laser Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Laser Technician, you will be an integral part of the engineering support team, contributing to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge laser technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Align, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain laser systems and optical architectures, including free-space and fiber-coupled systems.
• Maintain accurate records such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and assembly documentation.
• Measure and characterize laser performance using diagnostic tools, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to laser and optical system performance, including alignment drift and component failures.
• Assist in prototype assembly, rework, and develop detailed assembly instructions and alignment procedures.
  
  

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with laser or optical systems in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with precision hand tools and measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed procedures.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with engineering teams.
